How to stop characters being moved outside the Sparkomatic?

Postby Tilarta » Mon Mar 21, 2016 7:50 am

I have an problem with my Sparkomatic (Spark generator/levelling machine).

The way I have designed mine is to teleport into a small area (3x3 grid) enclosed by walls and trigger a recurring event where 90 Omnidroids spawn and instantly explode.

However, sometimes the character standing on the teleport pad (in the centre of the grid, directly below the spawn generator) will be pushed out of the way.
Sometimes they are even pushed through the walls.
I am uncertain as to the cause, but I think an Omnidroid isn't destroyed properly and pushes the character away from where they are standing.
Since moving outside the walls deactivates the spawn generator (because the trigger area is only inside the walls), this shuts down the Sparkomatic.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to keep the character from being moved while they are standing inside the Sparkomatic?

no suggestion to stop it but i have no issue like this with the one i created. if you would like to, send a psn friend request to T7GGA and then you will be able to download the DisneyInfinityFans Spark toy box.

How about moving the enemy wave generator (or attached locator) higher up to allow more time for the enemies to be killed?

I have one and it is shared on XBox One. Add me as a friend on XBox One and it should be on my friend share.

@Mkruzer
I tried that and it just resulted in several of the Omnidroids appearing outside the Spark collection area.

I tried putting a roof above the character, but that just stopped the Sparks falling down.
The next step was to try a redesign of the Sparkomatic to try and prevent the problems encountered during the prior redesign.

This is the current version:

If anyone wants to inspect the Sparkomatic directly, the map is set to Shared.
Send a friend request and you should be able to view the map.
It is named Big Mountain.
Please include the text line DisneyInfinityFans in your request, so I know you aren't one of the friend network spammers.

Note: Friend requests will only work for PS4/PSN, as that is my console.

My box is called Spark Plug and it is on my friend share for both Xbox One and Wii U. It had twin towers for leveling up two characters at the same time.

The player starts on a platform between the towers and then walks into the open side of either tower. There are a dozen or more enemy generators above the players head that will just rain sparks. The walls keep them contained.

Thinking about updating it soon to use locators to clean it up and maybe shorten the towers.

Just send friend requests noting you forum name.
