What to buy now DI related, now that DI ceased production

Before I knew disney infinity was cancelled, my plan was to buy a ps4 with 3.0 so I could update the game (my xbox 360 has some connection issues), but now, I don't know what to do.So i need some suggestions and answers:
After the finding dory playset realease, its possible to update the game and use the community content ?
CAn I play the Marvel battlegrounds playset without internet(after updating the game)?
Should I buy the xbox 360 version or the ps4 version?
