Regular Character Figures vs. Light FX Character Figures?

Hey all,

I was just wondering how the Regular Star Wars Character Figures vs. Light FX Star Wars Character Figures differ in-game? Do they even? Do they act like the crystal series figures of the last game where they actually are different and count towards something? Or do they read exactly as a regular character does? I'm just wondering so I know whether I need to purchase both versions or just the Light FX version... please could somebody let me know? :)

Thanks!

They don't add a statue to the HoGH, but they do add a glowing lightsaber to the pedestal of the character.

They don't appear as a separate character in the "my collection" screen, but they do show up as a second copy of the character and increase your spark multiplier.

They level up faster, like the crystal figures did, but otherwise are the same in-game as the non-LightFX versions.

Originally, I only collected the LightFX characters that I didn't already own via playsets (so Vader, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Kanan), though I intend to pick up Anakin and Luke if I can find decent sales. I got the original Kylo Ren when he first came out, so was angry when they announced the LightFX version, but I picked him up when Amazon had him for like $6.50. Hopefully I can get Anakin and Luke for around the same price sometime. I'm anticipating deep discounts in the future.

As stated they add nothing in game really but they look great on the base

The only difference is the base in the Hall of Galactic Heroes. If you have the LightFx version, there is no difference, but without it, part of the base is not active.
