Make a New Character Spawn Once One Dies In Toy Box?

Postby nathxngeorge » Mon Jul 18, 2016 3:12 am

I was wondering if there was any logic connections I could make so that when a character dies in the Toy Box, you have to put a new character on in order to keep playing, like in the Play Sets? Thanks!

Sadly, there's no way to do that in the toybox.

The Defeat Manager Creativitoy is what you want to use for this.

But the defeat manager will not actually require you to change characters, unless there has been an update that I'm not aware of.

I stand corrected. I tried out the Defeat Manager again and in the iOS version of the game it does work as advertised. If you die, you do have to select a different character. However, on my Wii u, while it prompts you to change characters, if you wait a second it will allow you to respawn the same character (and if you have an active checkpoint, it teleports the character to that prior checkpoint). You can check this thread for a similar discussion:

So, it kind of works on the console version, but it does appear to really work on the iOS version (maybe on pc or android too?).
