Differences between original and elite 360?

Hello,

I don't have an Xbox 360 at the moment and I have pre-ordered the wii version of Disney Infinity but I have spotted a cheap xbox 360 to buy on the internet but it is an original not an elite. I don't know much about the differences of these consoles so would Disney Infinity work on the original console and will it be any different than the elite version. Also is it worth changing to an Xbox console?

Disney Infinity will work on an original 360. One of the big differences between original and elite is the storage size it comes with. The original may only have 20 GB of space. Elite has at least 250 GB of space. At some point you could upgrade to a bigger hard drive if you need it. There are other differences (new models are smaller in size. Slim), but it should't matter if you just want to play Disney Infinity. (A word of caution: The original Xbox 360 experience the RING OF DEATH often. Meaning they broke down often. I know mine broke down at least once. I have friends that it happened to them 3 times!)

Your talking about the original Wii not the Wii U right. The Xbox 360 will have better graphics and a better processor for handling the game than the Wii.

Yes I was talking about the original wii, as I understand the wii doesn't allow you to play over the internet either, only split screen.
Is it true that due to the capacity of the wii that some missions in the playsets aren't there and the toy box is smaller as well?

^Hey DisneyMania, if it's a good deal I'd say go for it. Even if it's just so you can play with others online. A feature I'm rather looking forward too. Wayworn is right about the Red Ring of Death(RROD), it happened to me 3 times. I'd say at this point though, if this particular 360 has lasted this long, you are probably in the clear for this nasty little deficiency.

Okay, thank you, If I were to get the RROD is there a way to fix this? Is it expensive to fix?

Also to play online on Disney Infinity, do I need to buy xbox live or can I just connect it to my internet? (I don't know - sorry :/)

You can generally find someone that will break the 360 open and fix it for pretty cheap. Often times it is a problem with the thermal paste. And Xbox Live is required to play online.

I have had my regular XBOX 360 for 5 years now and not once have I had a problem with it. I would say go for it. The Xbox is a great leap from the Wii or to another system.

Okay! Do you think £40 is a good price for the console, 1 controller, 1 game and an internet adapter? (this is second-hand)
