Port Talon, POTC Play Set

In the Pirates of the Caribbean Playset thereis a small island called Port Talon (name from guide book). On the island there are two ports close to each other and in the middle through a cave entrance is an iron gate that is locked. There is no Gun symbol or Bomb symbol suggesting i need either to open the gate, just a locked gate with no way to open it. If anyone else has encountered this issue and found a way to open it then i would love to know how.

Have you looked for a switch or a shootable target? The only gate I recall that wasn't bomb or pistol opened had a target switch.

I'm not in front of the game right now but I recall a section that required me to modify my ship with all the "royal navy" pieces then it went to a cut scene that opened the gate allowing me inside.

The island i'm referring to is an optionial island. The one with the gate and Royal Navy is a story mission. And regarding to the switch, i thought the same thing but there is nothing there. Maybe it glitched out but its infuriating because for an hour my girlfriend and i tried and failed.

Finally figured it out. You need to go back to the bayou and talk to Tia Dahlma she has a few missions to complete and that area is accessed during a mission. hope this helps
