Posted: Mon Sep 16, 2013 12:23 pmThere is, and there are boats... but supposedly that particular playset was programmed by another company (not Avalanche) which is why the guns are also "realistic" there (as opposed to the popguns in Lone Ranger, for example).
If true, it would explain why none (well, with the exception of the guns and bombs) of the Pirates mechanics made it over to the toy box area. But it's a shame -- even leaving aside the big ships we could have used a rowboat or (if the animation for rowing was an issue as it was for bikes for every character) just a motorboat to ride around in. I don't care if the characters can't swim (again, perhaps an animation limitation -- they can only fit so much into memory and animations for each character available seems to be an issue) they ought to have at least allowed us a boat or two, and water to use them on.
