Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) Power Disc Folio

Postby jmob22 » Wed Aug 20, 2014 9:38 pm

Just found this at GameStop. It shows the Marvel Super Heroes Power Disc Folio for 9.99. Says it holds up to 45 power discs in 5 plastic sheets, different from the 1.0 albums.

What I don't get is why there's space for 45 discs when there is only 40 discs? Don't think I'll like sleeves as I love the series 1 and 2 albums

^ I agree. I loved the albums because there was a slot for each disc. I kinda irked me that PCP didn't even finish what they started by scraping a Wave 3 album for 1.0. And now they do this for 2.0.

But I guess for the people that like to have duplicates of the circle discs, the extra slots are useful.

The reason there are probably 45 is because there are 9 slots per sheet, similar to sports cards sheets. I do like the older albums and wish they had one for Wave 3 as well. I might decide to switch though as I thought this design would of been a better one when I first saw the power discs. Kind of had memories of pogs and their plastic sheets. I guess I can check it out. Hopefully you will be able to buy single sheets or a bundle of them and not have to buy the folio every time.

For my Power Discs, I am using a 3 inch wide 3 ring binder with sports card holders for the Power Discs and character cards. The kids won't put them back in the right spots but they will put them back in the sleeves. It works very well and I didn't have to spend any money since I had left over binders and empty sleeves...

Re: New 'Power Disc Organizer' released

Not sure how much I like this, I think it may be a handful to carry around, unfold, etc. Although it may be a lot easier to find a disc faster (since it would have its own slot on the same sheet as all of the others, I like the idea of the portfolio/binder more. I'm about 90% sure I'll be buying the Portfolio, that way I can split up the discs in sections, and maybe place some more sheets (if we can?).

I really like the sleek look of it, too.

I like that they are coming up with all of these different options though. Portfolio, mat, album, capsule... What's next!?
