I dont think there should be any more figures for launch

Postby DragoMan555 » Fri Aug 02, 2013 7:33 am

I dont think there should be anymore figures for launch. Theirs about 3 weeks left, and announcing new figures would be a pain in the butt for people whoo dont check sites like this one. Anybody eles agree?

^John V. confirmed via Twitter that the seventeen figures announced will be the only ones at launch.

I thought as much, though my reasoning was more speculation than anything.
The messenger bag only holds 17 figures and 3 play sets which is everything to be released at launch. Makes sense really.

Does anyone know what the time fame is on the release schedule of the next wave? Is Wave 2 characters going to coincide with Infinity 2 releases?

I'll agree with you when D23 is over. Unfortunately, the way the dates worked out, the biggest Disney event of the year occurs a week away from release, so that is why we might see some late character announcements.

I don't think I want any more at launch otherwise its too much at the beginning - they need to spread it out over the months.

I still have the feeling that there's gonna be one more playset (plus the standalone figures from that playset) and Mickey Standalone still to be announced at launch though.....

@Disneyfanatic, I agree. I don't think the fact the launch was pushed to a week after D23 is a coincidence. I think it is very deliberate which leads me to believe something special is coming, whether that be a special launch figure/set or announcement.
