The Toy Box is this big event-driven programming model for Disney gaming & storytelling. A big part of the fun in this toys-to-life category is physically placing a figure or power disc on the base and seeing that translate into the virtual world of the Toy Box.
I've posted some specific suggestions about this in the past, but in general, what if there were some Creativi-Toys that could detect all of those actions on the base? What if there was a Character Detection toy that could be configured to monitor the role of Player 1/2/3/4 at both activation & deactivation? What if there was a Costume Detection toy that could know when a costume was put on or taken off? What if there was a Vehicle Detection toy that could know when a particular vehicle was brought into the Toy Box? The Properties of these Creativi-toys would be configured for a specific figure/disc, and could react to both activation and deactivation, for a match or a mismatch (4 combinations).
It could trigger different kinds of messages, perhaps team designations, open up certain areas and lock other ones, determine which types of enemies, friends, or effects occur. A Toy Box could be designed for a group of characters (e.g. Avengers, Guardians, Empire heroes, Awakens heroes, etc.) where the triggered Logic Gates provide tailored messaging throughout the game.
It could make Toy Box games more immersive, because the game designer could detect what is physically occurring on the base, and tailor those choices into the virtual story.
