Toy Box Tweaks

Postby goofyspaceranger » Tue Jan 19, 2016 12:46 pm

There's a great collection of Creativi-Toys at this point, and I can't help wondering, "How is the Disney Infinity Team going to out-do themselves next time?" Whatever grand strategy they have going for 4.0, we can keep posting/tweeting suggestions for a variety of "Toy Box Tweaks" and see what happens... :D

Behavior Enforcer: The Action Enforcer is such a cool toy, both for games & for Toy Box movies. With the increased functionality for Actors, how about a Behavior Enforcer toy so that you could dynamically change the Behavior of a Townsperson based on in-game events?

Half-Challenge Rings: The Endor challenge with the Challenge Rings imbedded in the ground are really cool. Might Challenge Rings be updated to have no collision detection in the Toy Box, or perhaps Half-Challenge Rings be added to place atop flat Terrain to provide the illusion of that?

First Person Camera: It's great that the various cameras can now include two local players in the same view (and hopefully with the Civil War Play Set, it will support four). It would be cool to have a camera that presents the "normal" 1st person view, yet shares the same single view for all local players. That may not be all that useful for actual games, but would be useful for movies. Similarly, it would be useful for the existing cameras to drop their minimums for zoom & player distances. There's already cases where the character can move off the screen - it would provide more creative options.

Greater Celebration: It would be fun to be able to start a Challenge (& later trigger the Celebration/Confetti) without requiring a Challenge description or confirmation of participants. Alternatively, the Action Enforcer could add in this "Challenge Celebration" that includes the Confetti & IN logo. And perhaps the Party Cannon could get Locator support, as suggested some months ago by @ElmoSTM - to complement the Locator support of the Fireworks Cannon.

Back to Kindergarten Blocks: A few more of the simple blocks would be useful for cleaner block letters, especially with regard to triangular junctures for the letters 'Y', "K', etc. As far as the flat wall/floor blocks, it would be cool to get a flat triangle, both wall & floor, so that you could make flat letters on Terrain or Walls (as well as the support for 'Y', 'K', etc. too).

The IN logo: It's fun to have the IN logo with so many toys (including the fireworks of the Fireworks Cannon). It would be fun to simply get the IN logo itself, with a size comparable to block letters. There have been various simple block versions, but a standalone version would be crisper.

Colored Keys & Locked Chests: The lockable toys are such a fun addition to the Toy Box, and it's cool that there's the option for the key to vanish when used - some fun platformer/storytelling options there. If the keys, cages, & walls could have a Property of say Silver/Gold/Glowing/Dark Steel, then different keys could open different locks and provide more variety. Also, it would be fun to have a locked box (perhaps a Toy Box for within the Toy Box) that also required a key to open.
Use the Force in Holocron Heuristics to program with more Creativi-Toys!
