If I remember rightly there was a Frankenweenie playset planned as well, early in 1.0's development. "Frankenweenie suburb story" files were included on the retail 1.0 disc.
Thanks for posting these Felix so amazing to see the behind the scenes of how the game is produced. Perhaps some of these video's could be added as unlocks in the next game, an extension of the dev art unlocks in 2.0?

That's a great idea! I'll pass it along

In response to a question...

-- Jamie Titera is one of our a lead animators. Super talented, Jamie specializes in Avatar combat as well as developing new mechanics and all around awesome gameplay.
-- Nigel Style is another incredible lead animator. He tackles everything from cinematics, marketing, combat, mechanics and anything else thrown his way.
-- Thomas Estrada is just some dude who's lucky to be there! ;-)

Here's a few more "throw-aways" I put together. They show some early character designs and mechanic ideas. That first clip is for you, @Modeltrainman hope you enjoy

Animation Show & Tell

Postby FelixBrownSLC » Thu Mar 10, 2016 12:37 pm

Hey everyone! It's been a while but I'm happy to be back! I've been digging through some old files and have come across various animations I'd like to share with you. For those on Twitter you may have seen some of these but since not everyone is, hopefully this will be something interesting.

This will range from old concept ideas to stuff recently released. It'll be a nice time to discuss animation and what goes into creating it.

Stay tuned!

This first one is an old concept animation from around 2010 exploring the character look for what would become Infinity.
I found a piece of Tim Allen dialogue that humorously fit this CG animation
In the end we felt this look was a bit too simple and moved on. What are your thoughts?

Back in 2010 I created a series of OmniDroid animations exploring various flight/mobility mechanics. We needed to get around quickly and came up with some fun ideas

thanks. looking forward to this :)

i'm glad they decided to go with a more detailed look for the characters. it makes them more aesthetically pleasing in game and makes the physical toys much more of a collectable.

taking Buzz as an example, roughly how long is the process of a typical character creation from concept to finish? and what are the different stages?
