Why can't AntMan permanently shrink?

I found it extremely disappointing that Antman only shrunk during or at the end of combos and you can't just press a button and run around as a little ant. Anyone find this a huge missed opportunity? LEGO Marvel lets you do it. I hope this ability is patched in, it's what makes Antman so fun.

Yeah, wouldn't he be a little over powered though if he could stay in that state all the time?

Well his special in the battlegrounds is just terrible that should be fixed first

It's just difficult to time. What I have found is that it is best to save it to end a combo. I was frustrated until I started doing this.
