Pranks for the Enders' Games

The Launchers & Enders from the Monsters University make for some fun Toy Box elements. This is a great example of how a toy helps tell a story and provides a good game mechanic at the same time. These prank toys provide a backstory for the Monsters University movie that fits in well with the college fraternity theme. In a way they also go full circle, when the original Monsters, Inc. movie revealed that laughter is more powerful than screams. With some tiny adjustments, the Enders & the Launchers could bring even more fun & laughter...

- Unbreakable: these prank toys need to be carefully positioned, and the Toy Box doesn't restore broken toys like Play Sets do. It would be cool to see regenerative breakables, but even more so, how about making all Enders & Launchers unbreakable? If compatibility is a concern, maybe a property of unbreakable? The man-hole covers are fun, but sometimes the other structures fit and look better for a given setup (especially when flooring blocks are involved - incidentally if the man-hole covers could work on top of floor blocks, similar to an older request for the Trigger toys, that would be useful too).

- Themed rivalry: what about Fear Tech? It would be cool to have a mix between orange & blue colored pranks. There might be a story on Fear Tech pranking such that the Monster University logo doesn't fit as well.

- Trigger connections: even though the Launchers & Enders implement their own "behaviors", it would be useful to treat them as triggers for connections to other toys. You could connect one or more to a Sound Effects toy with a laugh track (could the Sounds Effects toy get a good laugh along with some maniacal variety?). You might update a counter. You might trigger a Replayer to clear a section of wall that the Launcher sends the character through. Any toy that can be incorporated into the connections interface provides the Toy Box more depth and the potential for a greater variety in games.

- Agile Scoring & Multiplying: in addition to Coins, Sparks, Spheres, & Goals, there could be scoring & a complementary Multiplier for Pranks. The system could track each time a player triggered one of these, and display the points by player number, team color, Play Set grouping, etc. according to the chosen display options. A prank game might track who can keep the lowest score as each "nudges" the other into the various toys. There might be a negative multiplier to offset points that are also gathered from coins & sparks as another example.

- Generally Goo'd: just to cap off the pranks list from the earlier Goo Properties post, changing the Sludge Ender to become a general-purpose "Goo Ender" would make that toy even more fun that it already is.
