I should totally enter the Battle Arena challenge! All I would need to do however is rig up the scoring toy so that It would track player's hits and have a maximum score!

I've seen that. When I watch the video, I can't make out how many hits it takes to defeat an enemy using melee, though.

Melee as in the shovel or x attack on wii u? Not sure personally, but I feel it's definitely stronger than grappling hook.
