What happened to my floor?

EDIT: Thanks. It changes once you reach the heart of the maze. Also, as you travel to the "boss fight room", cards follow you in that stretch. And you use the hedgehog croquet ball to break the glass. Also flying isn't suppossed to be used. ^^;
