Disney Infinity 3.0 Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set

While I'm fine with it being a four player brawler, the lack of online multiplayer kind of kills that for me. :/ It's begging for it.

Not really happy about getting a second Captain America either. Yeah, it looks nice, but considering I'm not one of the "collect 'em all" crowd and I already have 2.0 Cap, I don't want to waste my money. It just sucks because I think it's quite likely he'll be packaged with the playset alongside Scarlet Witch, a figure I'm guessing is in and REALLY want. :/ I may have to get him after all...

All in all I'm just left wondering..."Why wasn't it Ant-Man?"

They're making a fighting game yet it's now clear that none of the 2.0 characters are going to get upgraded move sets. That means they'll be at a distinct disadvantage to all the new 3.0 characters with their air-juggles and finishing moves. So, while you can play with all your characters, the old ones will just get their asses kicked.

It's pay-to-win. A bad idea in a fighting game and a bad idea in a family game.

Just found a leak with the entire figure lineup for 4.0.

Did I miss something? When did they say it had no online multiplayer?

I don't know about others, but I love to see SpiderGwen in the game

I love cap as a character and like how the new sculp looks, my issue is I hope this doesn't set a new precident like remaking 1.0 figures to re-buy in order to get 3.0 upgrades rather then just patching. I dread them announcing 1.0 remakes.

As for the play set, disappointing all around, I hate brawlers and prefer story driven action RPG styled games so I was hoping for a marvel ultimate alliance type play set. More then that, 4 player local co op only is extremely dumb in this day and age. I daresay most gamers don't have 4 people to play with locally. This probably would be much better recieved with online capability.

At this point, I'm hoping JV and the team can redeem themselves with the force awakened play set.

March 2016 not May - so sooner by 2 months. While I'm also not happy about an existing character being retooled (demasked) when that could have been achieved with a Power Disc, I also think the pose of the character is off from typical action oriented poses the Avengers (and most other figures) have had. To me, rather than presenting a brawling / action presence, it looks like new Cap is on the sideline watching something - maybe refereeing the battle. Is Grey Hulk next? Hoping for more details on the 4 player aspect on Saturday.
