Marvel Battlegrounds is an arcade-style brawler that allows players to battle with up to three friends locally. Fans will be able to play in 12 levels across eight all-new arenas, including Knowhere and Wakanda. Players will also be able to battle as any playable Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition): Marvel Super Heroes figure, making Marvel Battlegrounds the Play Set with the largest selection of playable characters.

within Marvel Battlegrounds the arena location choices are: Brooklyn Train Yard, S.H.I.E.L.D. Lunar Outpost, Ultimate Ultron, Wakandan Mines, Manhattan Sewers, Middle of Knowhere, Avengers Training Facility and Mount Asgard

nb: unfortunately no Ant Man gameplay was permitted

to answer some questions ...

battlegrounds = story campaign mode
super hero = 1 player becomes "it" the super hero and the other players all attack that player. if another player defeats "it" they then become the super hero
hero af the hill = get inside the moving circle and keep other players out. whoever controls the circle longest wins. this can be done in teams or individually
rumble = every player for themselves and whoever scores most wins
custom = customise the settings of the different modes including health levels of characters, length of time rounds last, difficulty

only some of the arenas have a breakable floor that gives access to another level below. there are no more than 2 levels in any arena

figures and power discs need to be scanned in at each gaming session that the play set is used

each week a new digital trial version character from one of the figures that are available physically will be available (try before you buy sort of thing)

Pretty cool actually, I'm looking forward to this one a bit more now. I only watched the black panther vs iron man so far but that one sold me on it, lol.

it was a lot of fun. the 4 player videos have me and my wife playing with our sons. my wife never plays video games and even she enjoyed it.

Looks awesome, just preordered the rest of the figures from simplygames this morning, now just need my player 4 to arrive and I'm all set!

I can't wait for having this playset for my own.
Love the way how they use the powerdisc and the new way to use it.
@ Sheriff Woody: could you tell something more about the stuff by Game Mode. Like Super Hero, Hero of the Hill, Rumble and Costum? And whats more of it.

Just thought of a question, can alternate costumes be used in this playset? They should let us scan them in just like the figures, and give us two button selection for those characters ala Tekken or any other fighting games with two sets of characters.
