Agreed but I'm one collector of DI figures (though not a hardcore one even though I do have every figure, playset, power disc etc) who still wouldn't have went out and bought these. Mainly, because as you stated, it was a complete money grab, nothing more, nothing less and I wouldn't give the Mouse more money based on that practice. Sure, it happens all the time blah blah blah some will say but that's my personal take on the whole thing.

I probably wouldn't have bought any of these large figures either, but they potentially could have brought more consumers into the game. I imagine the goal was to sell these to adults at places like D Street who wouldn't buy the small figure at Walmart. I think it was a solid idea. I guess I might have been down for a Buzz Lightyear or a Mater.
