Star Wars ROGUE ONE figure PROTOTYPE

Postby BionicKoalaBoy » Sat Jan 07, 2017 9:16 pm

Artists and sculptors were readying more missions and figures for a planned Disney Infinity 4.0, which would have included toys and missions based on, among other things, Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok and the forthcoming Pirates Of The Caribbean sequel, Dead Men Tell No Tales.

As uncovered by Kotaku, one of the major lines in Infinity 4.0 would've been based on Star Wars: Rogue One, with many of its major characters getting their own figures - so the line would've included distinctively chunky, angular versions of Jyn Erso and K-2SO. An artist named B Allen has posted his sculpt for Rebel fighter BAZE MALBUS which you can see below.
According to Allen, he and his team "had a handful of Rogue One characters finished."

Awesome. It's a great looking figure.
And it looks like they where almost ready to unleash those to like the Moana figures.
Sad that they cancelled the rest of DI 3.0 and 4.0
Hoping that they will reveal more of these concept art figures. And maybe some footage from what they where making, like how they made them or what there moves and actions supposed to be in the game.

And the reality of what could have been still continues to haunt us... Shame it ended the way it did.

I'm surprised that after this long there's still new stuff coming to light.

It's a good looking figure though! I hope we get to see the other Rogue One characters at some point.

Edit: Dang, saw my own signature and got sad again about the fact that we never got Padmé. *Sighs*

They tend to trickle through on the social media and Linkedin of ex-artists and Disney employees, such as THOMAS ESTRADA.
