You can use any Wii U controllers for two player. The Wii controls are terrible but I love the gamepad and pro controller controls.

I have played Disney Infinity on Wii U, since launch day, only playing co op. At launch the only option for player 2 was the Wii remote and nunchuk. This wasn't a problem at all, but since then there has been an update to allow player 2 to use the Pro Controller and use the same control scheme as player 1.

For Nintendoland, the screen getting wobbly is an intended feature as you can look around with the gamepad and it feel like you are looking around inside the game itself. I don't think this feature is great in that game and I wish it could be turned off. Fortunately no other game uses it, including Disney Infinity.
MPK for short.

Yes, like MPK has said, you can also use the Pro Controller for 2P in Infinity. I've used it with my friend who used the gamepad, and it's much better than the Wiimote controls.

For di 1 go for any console that isn't the original Wii as its lacking in some of the items etc. As for di 2 go for current gen Xbox one or ps4 as they will be bigger etc than last gen

I chose wii u for the added features. I do agree that if you have friends who play, get the same system as them.
I don't need a featured toybox, I build for myself.

Another vote for Wii U, we use a classic controller pro for 2 player and it works perfectly. I will be starting out with the wii u for 2.0 as well, probably ps4 will be the second starter pack I buy for the vita remote play, will get the others when their discounted after Christmas.
